The Risk Analyst (INSURANCE) will assist Risk Manager in managing North America’s (NAM) Risk Management Program in accordance with Heidelberg Materials Group Policy comprising insurance relationship management, insurance placement, insurance claims management, involvement in surety bond portfolio, and implementing a risk management framework to address key business issues.

This position will reside at the corporate office in Irving, Texas.

What you’ll get to do:

• Manage the Avetta Supplier prequalification system including but not limited to:
• Monthly regional meetings with Procurement and Avetta
• Handle Avetta Training
• Assist Risk Manager to coordinate placement and administration of the Company’s insurance program. Activities include analyzing underwriting information for accuracy and timely completion of applications.
• Assist in the Claims Management system; analyze data for accuracy.
• Distribution of Vehicle ID cards and uploading into company system
• Work with Broker to assure distribution at renewal of all certificates of insurance.
• Process requests for insurance certificates from third parties
• Manage the invoicing process which includes coding, tracking, and filing.
• Manage the various Self-Insured State Funds
• Manage the legacy insurance programs
• Develop and continuously update processes/procedures to support assigned activities.
• Audit insurance premium payments and assist with invoicing/billing from insurers and brokers.
• Assist with insurance provider inspections, audits, or other compliance activities, as necessary.
• Manage technical inquiries and requests from business, as well as provide guidance.
• Create and maintain historical risk exposure schedules for the firm’s property and liability programs.
• Cross Train on Surety process such as increases, decreases, name changes and other such surety related functions including follow up and documentation.
• Assist in acquisition projects
• Assist Risk Manager with Special and ad hoc projects, as assigned.

Essential Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in Insurance or Risk Management.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft excel and other Microsoft products.
• Knowledge of risk management programs; knowledge of research and analysis techniques and knowledge of contracts management.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Knowledge of accident prevention, safety and loss control, insurance regulations, workers’ compensation, and claims management.
